Hiring of Holcombe Village Hall
Registered Charity No. 300813
We have two halls available to book:
The Main Hall is 54 x 24 feet (16.5 x 7.35 metres) and will hold up to 80 people seated at tables. Folding tables are provided in the adjoining storeroom. Bouncy Castles can be used at the higher end of this hall but not in the Joan Copp Room due to insufficient ceiling height. There is an adjoining kitchen with a large serving hatch. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a sink, a canteen water heater, kettles, crockery, glasses, and some cutlery. The hall has direct access to a fenced-off tarmacked area which could be used for outdoor play at children's parties.
The Joan Copp Room is 40 x 27 feet (12.4 x 7.5 metres) and will hold up to 50 people seated at tables. Folding tables are provided in the adjoining storeroom. There is an adjoining kitchen with a serving hatch. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a sink, kettle, crockery, glasses, and some cutlery. The hall has direct access to a paved patio area to which this hall has sole access.
Each hall has its own entrance and toilets, including disabled facilities. The two halls are completely independent of each other.
Wi-Fi is available in both halls. The details are displayed on the noticeboard in the entrance lobby of the Main Hall and on the noticeboard in the Joan Copp Room. We have current PPL and PRS licences for the playing of recorded and live music. We don’t have a licence to sell alcohol, so a hirer would need to apply to Teignbridge District Council for a TEN licence if they wish to sell alcohol. However, alcohol provided free of charge can be consumed by those aged over 18 when invited to attend events at the hall.
If you are not familiar with the Village Hall and would like to arrange a visit when it is not in use, please let us know (via [email protected]) and we can arrange for someone to show you round.
Charges
Both halls are charged at £14 per hour at the standard rate and £10 per hour for regular users.
